The All Nighter

Keep Calm and Carry on

Architecture as a whole may not be in the best of shape but don’t let that totally discourage you. The best advice I can give is too GET AN INTERNSHIP!!!!! I myself, studied abroad and took better paying jobs to pay for school during the summer and that has been my biggest regret. I’ve had interviews where they loved my work, loved my personality, but were shocked that I didn’t have experience….even though I just graduated. It becomes frustrating that experience is necessary for a ” beginner” architects position. Also a masters can bypass the experience thing which dosent really make sense to me because they are far from the same thing. Just be prepared and use every resource you have while your in school…and try and make connections with people in the business

PS - the best part of architecture is that you have other options when it comes to jobs, like almost any design career you’ll have a shot at
