The All Nighter

So I'm on holiday right now and one of the things I always put on my list is to work on my portfolio when I have the time. I realized some of my work isn't up to my standards now. How important would you say is it to go back to projects I've done a few semesters ago and make changes to it? I've heard that a "project is never finished" but at the same time, it's hard to get back into the same mindset. Suggestions? (By the way, I've been following you guys for a few months now, I've enjoyedi t!)

My belief is to work purely on the aesthetics of your portfolio, not so much the work. Your portfolio is going to be used for two things, grad school and job opportunities. The fact is that in both these situations your portfolio is going to be skimmed through at best. You want easy to read money shots to get a chance to reel them in to look at the rest. If it is obvious that something is missing, then yes, develop it further but the final product is what most people are looking for.
